Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how your personal information is collected, used, and shared when you visit or book a consult with me.

When you visit the Site, I automatically collect certain information about your device, including information about your web browser, IP address, time zone, and some of the cookies that are installed on your device. Additionally, as you browse the Site, I collect information about the individual web pages or products that you view, what websites or search terms referred you to the Site, and information about how you interact with the Site. I refer to this automatically-collected information as “Device Information.”

I collect Device Information using the following technologies:

- “Cookies” are data files that are placed on your device or computer and often include an anonymous unique identifier. For more information about cookies, and how to disable cookies, visit

- “Log files” track actions occurring on the Site, and collect data including your IP address, browser type, Internet service provider, referring/exit pages, and date/time stamps.

- “Web beacons,” “tags,” and “pixels” are electronic files used to record information about how you browse the Site.

If you opt-in to get notified of new articles I've posted on Medium, I'll add your name and address to my mailing list, which I would rather die than give or sell. I actually hate marketing, even though it's kinda my day job. It makes me want to scream when I have to listen to video ads at the gas station or in taxicabs.

I do use the Device Information that I collect to help me screen for potential risk and fraud (in particular, your IP address), and more generally to improve and optimize my Site (for example, by generating analytics about how people browse and interact with the Site).

I'm generally opposed to sharing your Personal Information with third parties. I do use Google Analytics to help me understand how people use the Site, and you can read more about how Google uses your Personal Information here: You can also opt-out of Google Analytics here:

I might however be compelled to share your Personal Information to comply with applicable laws and regulations, to respond to a subpoena, search warrant or other lawful request for information I receive, or to otherwise protect my rights.

Is something I refuse to do. I don't sell products, and I don't see why I should make it easier for companies that may not share my code of ethics to do that either.

You can opt out of targeted advertising by FB, Google, and Bing here:

Additionally, you can opt out of some of these services by visiting the Digital Advertising Alliance’s opt-out portal at:

Please note that I do not alter our Site’s data collection and use practices when I see a Do Not Track signal from your browser.

If you are a European resident, you have the right to access personal information I hold about you and to ask that your personal information be corrected, updated, or deleted. If you would like to exercise this right, please contact me through the contact information below.

When you book a consult through the Site, I will maintain your Contact Information for my records unless and until you ask me to delete this information.

I may update this privacy policy from time to time in order to reflect, for example, changes to practices or for other operational, legal or regulatory reasons.
